Once again, it has been simply ages since I have blogged.  Now that I know someone has been checking to see if I have written anything, I am going to try to do better!  At least once a week.

Sooo, what has happened in the last.....what is it? Over a year, I think! 

Ken and I were both working for Mervyn's, a department store in this area.  Then on March 3rd, 2008, we found out something that was going to change our lives forever.  We found out we were going to have a baby!  We were absolutely overjoyed at this wonderful news.  I stopped working then, due to some minor complications.  In fact it seemed the doctor's office enjoyed trying to scare us with various things they thought might be wrong, such as high blood pressure, placenta previa, pre-eclampsia.  I suppose they though I was a bit old to be having a baby, but we proved them wrong when on the 29th of October, 2008, we had a very healthy son by C-section.  He is the most beautiful baby in the world!  I actually wanted to post some pics of him here, but unfortunately forgot my camera, so it will have to be next time!  Probably next Tuesday as the Library is closed next Monday.

Then at the end of the year, Mervyn's closed its door for good.  But fortunately, Ken was able to find a better job at Wal-Mart and is very happy there.  He gets more hours and better pay.  We don't miss Mervyn's as an employer, but I kind of miss shopping there as you could get some really lovely clothes off the clearance rack sometimes for 2, 4, 6 and 8 dollars! 

Well, that is all I have time for today, as my time on the computer is almost up.  We only get an hour here at the library and there is a timer on the top of the screen and it shuts down when the hour is up.
