Updates and Thankyous

  • Mood:

Once again I must apologize for not keeping up with my blog as I should.  Despite all my best intentions, when I am online I usually have many other things to do and blogging gets pushed back again and again.

Well, as some of you know, "The Medium's Story" is now available for purchase at X Libris and Amazon.  The links to these are on the site on the page entitled Ken's Book.

A big thankyou  to all of those who have bought a copy!  You are wonderful and we love you!

By the way, Ken now has a Facebook page, if anyone would like to visit it here is a link:  Ken Morris .

Here is a picture of Kenneth for everyone....Unfortunately it's about 3 months ago on his 6 month day....newest one on the computer though there are newer ones still on the camera.

This is short and sweet, but I have lots of things to do while I am here, so bye for now!

Update on Ken's Book

  • Mood:
We are well on the way to having Ken's book available for sale!  The only thing holding us up at this point is waiting for the author copy to arrive so we can approve it.  Unfortunately it seems to have been lost by the post office, who claim it was delivered on May 18th at 11:42 AM.  We even had the notice in our box to go pick it up in the office, but when Ken went in there, the manager said there was no package.  So we have talked to the apt. manager a few times, the postman a few times and even went to the post office once!  But to no avail.  We still cannot find out what happened to it, although our regular postman suggested that the substitute who delivered the mail that day may have left it at the wrong apartment complex!  That's horrible isn't it?  How on earth can we find it with all the complex's there are in our area?  Anyway, I think the sender should be responsible for either locating it or printing us another copy and sending it out, seeing as we paid them and not the other way around!  And I wish they would stop calling really early in the morning to see if it's arrived yet.  This morning they called at 12 minutes past 6!  A horrible time to be awakened when you worked until 11 PM the night before and didn't get to sleep until after midnight.  Just because they are located in another state where it is 2 or 3 hours later...hmmmpf .  Well, if anyone reads this, wish us the best of luck in locating that author copy...please.  That's all for now.

Better

  • Mood:

Things are a little better this blog.  I am not feeling so sad about this and that.  Ken and I have managed to reconnect with Most Haunted Zone...which is in its third incarnation.  That is why I was unable to find it at first.  Ken is back as its resident medium... a fact we are very happy about.  The site is even better than before and here is a link in case anyone wants to check it out  mosthauntedzone .

Our computer is now at my dad's house, hooked up to his internet, so hopefully no more trips to the library for one hour of internet access!

We are working now to self publish Ken's book.  We decided the important thing was to have the book out there, available for his fans to purchase, even if it wasn't published in the traditional way.  After all there is a lot of information in the book and things that will bring comfort to those who have lost a loved one.

I am also checking out information online in order to help us with our big move to the UK in a year's time.  I have found out Baby Ken and I both need visas in order to move there.  But first we need our passports.  I also have discovered that homeschooling is allowed in England, a fact which pleased me very much as I would like to homeschool Kenneth as I did my other two children.

After we have moved to the UK, Ken and I are hoping to start paranormal investigations under the name Proof Seekers.  It would be on a similar line to Most Haunted, except more serious.

That is all for now.  Talk to everyone soon!

Things that make me feel sad

  • Mood:
  • Music:

There are a few things that are saddening me right now.  One is something I heard on the news that I won't repeat here, because it is so horrible.

Another is the fact that I am having trouble connecting with some internet friends from Most Haunted Zone, that Ken and I haven't been able to stay in contact with due to our lack of internet service.   When I try to find MHZ now, all I get is a message that says the board is not available at this time.  And when I try to email people, the mails are being returned to me as not deliverable.  And I feel bad because I would like to be able to remain in contact with these friends.  And also because MHZ is where Ken and I met, and so I do not want to see it gone.

I know things have to change, but I don't adapt well to it.

One bright spot is that we are planning to move to England in about a year and I am really looking forward to it.  So when I feel sad, I think about what it will be like there and it cheers me up.  Of course someone like me, who is blessed with the world's most wonderful husband and the world's most beautiful baby should never feel sad.  But I am only human, and unfortunately sometimes I do.

Another thing that is bothering me is that my dad is telling me I have to get rid of the classic car I have sitting in his back yard.  It wouldn't bother me so badly if my daughter Nicole didn't love the car, but I am afraid me having to sell it will make her feel as sad as I do.  And there is nothing I can do about it.

Well now, I have talked about what has been making me sad, and what cheers me up.  So that is all for today.  I am looking forward to getting to England and meeting all of Ken's family and friends that are there.  Bye for now.

Here we are again at the library, updating things on the website and forum and blogging!  I am hoping to take my CPU to my dad's house if he gives me permission and still has the internet on, so I will not have to come here anymore.  It would certainly make life easier.  We have to get here at least 45 minutes before the library opens in order to beat the crowds and get on a computer!  Unbelievable, isn't it?

Not much has happened this week.  Ken has been working most of the time and I have been taking care of Baby Kenneth who I just tried to upload a pic of here without any success whatsoever.  Sorry to anyone who wanted to see him.  I'll have to try again, but I don't have much time here at the LIBRARY!   In fact, I only have 37 minutes left!

This is going to be a short blog as I wanted to make a rough draft at home so all I had to do was type it in, but I never got the chance to do this.  Hopefully next time I will.

I will speak to everyone soon.  Take care and have a great week!

The mood and music Smileys are because I was unable to upload a picture!!

Hello, after a LONG absence!

  • Mood:
  • Music:

Once again, it has been simply ages since I have blogged.  Now that I know someone has been checking to see if I have written anything, I am going to try to do better!  At least once a week.

Sooo, what has happened in the last.....what is it? Over a year, I think!

Ken and I were both working for Mervyn's, a department store in this area.  Then on March 3rd, 2008, we found out something that was going to change our lives forever.  We found out we were going to have a baby!  We were absolutely overjoyed at this wonderful news.  I stopped working then, due to some minor complications.  In fact it seemed the doctor's office enjoyed trying to scare us with various things they thought might be wrong, such as high blood pressure, placenta previa, pre-eclampsia.  I suppose they though I was a bit old to be having a baby, but we proved them wrong when on the 29th of October, 2008, we had a very healthy son by C-section.  He is the most beautiful baby in the world!  I actually wanted to post some pics of him here, but unfortunately forgot my camera, so it will have to be next time!  Probably next Tuesday as the Library is closed next Monday.

Then at the end of the year, Mervyn's closed its door for good.  But fortunately, Ken was able to find a better job at Wal-Mart and is very happy there.  He gets more hours and better pay.  We don't miss Mervyn's as an employer, but I kind of miss shopping there as you could get some really lovely clothes off the clearance rack sometimes for 2, 4, 6 and 8 dollars!

Well, that is all I have time for today, as my time on the computer is almost up.  We only get an hour here at the library and there is a timer on the top of the screen and it shuts down when the hour is up.

So, I will write again next week.  Have a great week everyone!!

Update

  • Mood:

Since it has been literally ages since I blogged, here is an update on our activities.

First of all, I don't think I ever mentioned it here, but Ken and I got married on March 22, 2007.  We have been in a state of perpetual honeymoon ever since and intend to stay that way for the rest of our lives.  There is one picture in the gallery from our wedding at the moment and I will post some more soon.  Unfortunately between spending time with my new husband and going to work, I don't seem to have much time for going online like I used to!

Recently, Ken did another live chat on Most Haunted Zone, with favorable results as usual.  He amazed those who attended with the information he was able to give them.  We hope to do another live chat soon and I will post the day and time here and on the website.

I guess that is enough updating for right now.  In the future, I will try to post blogs more often.

The State of Spiritualist Churches in America

  • Mood: pensive

As you know if you have read my blog at all, Ken is in the United States at the moment.  You would think that it would be easy to contact a spiritualist church here in America, and find one that would be very happy to have a medium who is visiting from the U.K. attend a service.

Think again.  I have contacted 3 Spiritualist Churches in this area, and only received a reply from one.  Unfortunately, this man's church did not do platform work, but he was nice enough to call me back, and try to help me by referring us to a church in this area that he knew of that DID platform work.  I appreciate the fact that he returned my call.  Especially considering the church he told me of never bothered to return my call.

So I contacted the main Spiritualist Church in Phoenix, Arizona, which is called Church of the Living Spirit....not once but twice.  First I used the contact form on their website.  After over a week with no reply, I contacted the president of the church directly by her email address which I got from the association of spiritualist church's website.  I still never received a reply.  So I decided to contact the national association directly to ask them for help.  Over a week and guess what?.....no reply.

As you know if you have visited the main page of our website, Ken was in great demand at churches all over the North East of England.  Why is it that there isn't a single Spiritualist Church here in Arizona that would like to have him attend a service?  Could it be because they are afraid a true medium will show them up, and reveal them as what they truely are?  I wonder.......

Is There No Escape???

  • Mood: happy

Just as we were about to leave the house this morning, I got a call from work asking me to come in for a while today although it is my day off.  Although I can't blame them for trying, as I would do the same if I was working shorthanded, which happens all too often, Ken and I still already had plans to do certain things that needed to be done, so I had to say sorry but no.

Today I am going to try to make a latte here at home by brewing double strength coffee and adding some heated milk and gingerbread syrup.  I know it won't taste as good as a latte from work, but I'm going to try anyway, lol.  When I can, I am going to get an espresso machine for at home, ha ha.  Isn't it funny how you can easily become addicted to this type of drink?  It's a good thing, or we'd be out of business, and I'd be out of a job.  Or IS that a good thing???  Debatable that is.

Before coming here to the U.S., Ken almost NEVER drank coffee, but now is drinking it several times a day.  Perhaps I am a bad influence!  A nice lady who is a customer of ours at work brought Ken some tea bags called PG Tips, but sorry to say, I couldn't see any difference between those and Lipton.  Oh well.  I'm hardly an expert on tea.

Enough rambling for today.

Relaxing at Home

  • Mood: happy and relaxed
  • Music: no music oh well

Relaxing at home...it may sound boring to some, but it can be quite nice.  It's certainly better than being all stressed out at work isn't it?

Today we cooked....I helped Ken make butterfly cakes and cheese straws and we put together some corned beef and potatos for what I call dinner and he calls tea.  And we didn't even go anywhere at all.  What a nice way to spend a day together!
